A left behind scythe from our old place that has too short a snath for either of us at 57".
Handles are 8mmovable so far.
26" Blade weighs 2#.

Where to order snath to fit?

Looks to be a current production Seymour. If the tubing diameter is 1.5" it's a No.9, if it's 1.25" it's a No.8

How tall are you? That snath will fit users up to about 5' 11". The tang on the blade looks like it hasn't been adjusted, which would need doing for the blade to lay properly.

Thank you Benjamin!

The tubing is 1.5" so #9.

I'm 5'10".  I think the problem when we used it in the past neither of us knew enough to use properly.

i've been happy with my scythe supply set up and Steve has used mine enough now to want to get this one in action also with a comfortable snath.  He is 6'2.

Being a woodworker he might try to make one rather than buy?

Is that heavy a blade for brush?  I had the wrong measurement...it is 22".

We're both realizing we're likely to be able to scythe for many more years than push a mower and are loving the wheelbarrows full of mulch for the gardens.

My first bit of advice is that if you are going to be a mime, you shouldn't talk. Even the tiny ad is nodding:
