Hi to all,

I have been somewhat unsuccessful with finding community other than a few "internet buddies" ---which are great don't get me wrong, but its no replacement for real physical community.  Presently my journey concerns trying to develop a small property in Southern West Virginia as my sustainable home. Looks like Ill be living out of a tiny camper for a season or two.  Adventures galore!

Any Permies out that way? Both VA and KY are a couple 3 hours away. I am virtually on the New River if you know where that is and I have an Amtrak station which is amazingly within walking distance to my homestead. My side hustle looks like it may be investing in smallish properties and developing them for resale as potential homesites for others, planting fruit trees, clearing for home sites and putting in a little infrastructure (sheds, rocket stoves and swales).  Are these sorts of activities of any interest to anyone?  I like WV, it has change of seasons, decent water, wildlife, lots of nooks and crannies.  Loads of wood, stackwood homes and log cabins might be a very thrifty way to go for building a home in the area.  Id love to work with other individuals or families on the above-mentioned idea. It could be your way to obtain your land for the future and be part of a small community of supportive Permaculture-folks.  I need the community and if helping others get started contributes to that goal, Im all for it--your success is my success.
If interested let me know.  Best,

Mike
