Basement for straw bale house

Hello All, new to the forum.  Planning stages for building a post an beam, in fill, straw bale house.  Don’t have to worry about inspections and the like, here in KY I can get a farm exemption since I have more than 10 acres.  Trying to decide on foundation, leaning towards a basement at this time.  Going to build a sawmill , cut logs off my farm and mill my own lumber, did this 25 years ago when I built our current log home. My question is, is there a possibility of using tires filled with gravel to make basement walls?  Thanks for this forum for the sharing of ideas. Paul

That sounds like an exciting project.  I've added your post to the earthship forum since these use earth packed tryes as part of the structure, so someone who watches that forum may be able to make more useful suggestions than I. Good luck.
