We are a family in Montana we have just over 3 acres, a greenhouse attached to the house, milk cow, goats, chickens, horses, ducks, rabbits, quail, and people. We have a licensed teacher who can teach k-12 and we choose curriculum ( no indoctrination here). We are looking for numbers, our dream was to purchase raw land and develop a homestead community however some things keep holding us up here. We are in Helena at the moment if we find a place to move our family to we would love to sell and relocate, however, if anybody has a need for family and shelter we are a Christ-centered family and we are fully awake!! Please reach out, we have many resources to bring or offer.

This is so cool! My partner and I love this idea for our future children. A homestead community where children can learn outside of the indoctrination of this society and live with the earth. Awesome idea and we hope and pray it goes well for you!

Justin,
I replied to Thais last email and then tried to send one awhile ago that bounced; I know she said you guys are changing email addresses.. said she would keep in touch. I don’t know if she got the email about my phone audio not working…don’t want to lose touch because I am pretty sure I can get there by January. She told me the town you guys are moving to but that’s all I know.  my email laffingdukk@protonmail.com

Hope you get this

Hi Justin,

We are a family of five, currently north of Missoula, and we are interested in opening dialog with you and perhaps coming out for a visit sometime soon. We are homeschooling our children, and the dynamic relationship we have with Christ is our “religion.” We are open to options as far as the long-term, but would probably prefer purchasing land with other families and building infrastructure together. It seems like if land is already owned by one individual or family, then power/psychological rank unfortunately seeps in, no matter the equitable spoken intentions. My husband has tools and over ten years experience in carpentry. If you have any questions for us or want to set something up, please send me a message and we can exchange email/phone. Peace be with you.

Interested in learning more about the community in Montana. My family travels fulltime in our school bus and would love to have a place to settle in Montana. Our bus is the "The Ugly Busling." on Facebook if you want to connect and see what we are doing. Last summer we raised chickens I and created a community garden in Florida for an rv wishing to provide a permaculture place for guests.

Hi there,

I came across your post and my husband and I are interested if this opportunity is still available? We are interested in becoming a part of a Christ like minded community that aims to be self sufficient, organic etc.

My family and I as well as at least 1 other family have a similar goal of setting up a Christ centered off grid community that is free of the rat race and the overwhelming amount of politics in today's society. We just do not see the value of working just to pay bills but instead, we desire to build up as a community, a brotherhood of sorts, that we may all share in the work, harvest, tears, laughter, plenty and if need be, lack. I have been watching people work for many years and accumulate possessions just to have their children sell it for pennies on the dollar after their death. I believe firmly that we, as Believers should be living and working as a community, Like the Early Church in the Book of Acts. Have you achieved your goal?   I would love to hear an update!

Hi Justin, I spoke to your mother in law over the phone shortly after you posted this...I wasn't quite ready to move from CA for logistical reasons. Your wife said she'd keep my phone number asher you guys changed yours and closed your email account. She told me the town you moved to (won't post it here)
I lost all my contacts so could never call your mom back... but guess what, I actually made it to Great Falls and was there for 8 months...I tried to look you guys up but was unsuccessful.
I left MT recently and went to Texas but really am looking for a place to settle permanently and assist in building up a self-sufficient community. I changed my number but you or your family can reach out to me via
laffingdukk@protonmail.com and maybe we can reconnect. I'd definitely consider moving back to central Montana

take care, Dina Barzilai

I read the Bible and try living in the godly ways I see from that. I just communicate of that with others who are interested while there can be friendly discussion.

I admire offgrid living pursued in country away from urban settlement, for self-subsistence there, and I think sharing this with others wanting to be a part of that with what they can do for a community is wonderful.

I would like being in such community with others, working at growing all that can be grown right there for food and desired materials, and I would bring seeds for that, but as I cannot get land which I would share for this if I could, I would join with others who contribute as they can for it, to work at this together, unless I find community in place that I can actually join and be included with those in it, to be involved in growing all the things I would there, with any others.

We'd be happy to come to Montana...

This is the post we placed in the communities forum on this site:

We are seeking YOU ....folks on the land already...to join you ....Your connection to creation, acknowledgement of the abundance of Earth,  desire for healing and creating a beautiful place for all creatures and your family, growing food trees, berry bushes,  foraging, living OFF GRID
We are seeking an immediate interest in connecting with others in an intuitive and expansive way.

We are:
Stacy and Eric  off grid, positive, grounded,  kinda folks, currently traveling after being on the southern Oregon coast visiting family for a few weeks, decided to stay, have done a few workaways...and now would like to honor folks with our experience and desire for community...

Stacy is 53 years old, a former elementary school teacher, former small business owner, former farm hand at a friend's Hudson Valley, NY veggie, flower, herb, and pumpkin farm. She has lived on and work traded for a season at another friend's medicinal herb farm. She is an avid forager and enjoys making medicines and teas. ... feels deeply connected to plant beings, self taught, although inspired by Susun Weed, Robin Wall Kimmerer, and herbalist friends from her years in the Hudson Valley
oh, most importantly, she is a Mom of an awesome daughter, who currently lives in Oregon.

Eric is 58, a sugar maker, outdoor adventuring kind of man, he can build anything that folks get excited about and is excellent with a chainsaw!

Our intention is to live off grid, as natural spiritual beings, within community.
We have shared the land back in VT with two young couples... that Eric has stewarded for 27 years... we together for two and a half years on nearly 100 acres on a small mountain in Vermont in a cabin Eric built himself 7 years ago. 1/4 mile hike in from the dirt road, minimal solar power, tiny awesome space.

We are currently just south of Roseburg, OR and ready to jump in and help with your projects and bring our small camper, (22ft) towed by our F550 and riding along in our F250.
We come with most of our own non perishable foods, tools, small apothecary, and even a small solar set up

some of our skills:

- chainsaw skills
tree felling, bucking and cutting and stacking of firewood - choosing only standing dead trees whenever possible
kindling choosing and preparation
- sawmill experience
- repair of many things
- building/joining
- plumbing
- creative solutions
- tractor and truck maintenance
- painting
- garden care
- foraging
- food prep and preservation
- cooking and baking
- desire to learn more about foraging and cultivation of medicinal herbs
- cleaning and basic home tidy and maintenance
- event planning and networking
- waldorf school (parent experience)
- elementary education (teaching experience)
- outdoor / nature education - multi age experience

we love sweet yummy things - raw honey, lovingly crafted maple and birch syrups, dark chocolate in every form, freshly ground nut butter, freshly baked sourdough bread (which Stacy longs to learn how to bake in an outdoor oven)  fresh veggies and fruit, eggs, cheese, pizza (homemade with whole wheat flour is ideal) nuts, dried fruit, pancakes and cookies!!

WE LOVE fresh, living water!

we love supporting others in realizing their projects
Music - especially song circles and live music, contra dancing,  star gazing, listening to and singing along with the radio, watching old movies on our DVD player
