Hi to all,

Me: 62 years old with some physical challenges (chiefly arthritis) but still capable of doing a sufficient day's labor, I am zeroing on my 3rd attempt to set up my own little mini farm in West Virginia.  I've scaled back some and should be relocated on my own modest-sized property (2 to 4 acres wooded) by April 2 2022. I could use some help but chiefly I would appreciate somebody to collaborate with on an occasional basis, and particularly to be a presence on the property to insure that my tools, trees, animals and building materials don't "walk off." Sadly Ive had some experience with this, and I just cant afford that sort of situation to occur again.  My interests are somewhere between self sufficiency and a small tree nursery for supplimental cash. I am a single non smoking omnivore with plenty of projects to occupy my time.

You: An individual, couple or small family interested in doing a trial run on 1 to 2 acres in West Virginia, where you can park your camper, build your yurt, teepee, hobbit-house, log cabin, or drop a mini prefab on, where you can work the bugs out of your various systems, practice (0rganic-please) agriculture with a neighbor next door,  far enough to respect your privacy, yet near enough to keep a weather eye on your infrastructure when you need to leave for the day or week.  You could earn your position with a contract of monthly tasks (tree felling and fence building for example) or if you are more cash fluid, we could arrange a negotiated rent situation.  If we get along well, we might do it for longer term if its mutually beneficial. Dog friendly. No illegal activities please.

Since I am gathering various materials for my tree nursery and plan on having a variety of animals, yes you can propagate whatever I have to take with you when you leave, along with various critters. that's sweet right?  Perhaps there are things you could teach me, your special talents.

We would have to work out a detailed contract, let's minimize surprises and make expectations clear all the way around. Along with timetables and your eventual exit plan.

Id be happy to open a dialogue with potential candidates for this, Im sure this is right for somebody, and remember this could also be used as a base of operations in your own rural land search. Boots on the ground as they say, its hard to see real estate from 500 or 1000 miles away, this might be the solution you're looking for to leave that unsatisfying rodent treadmill that passes for modern life.

Addendum: Non racist, non-sexist, glbtq positive, accepting of all religious and philosophical points of view that are peace-based and non exploitational of others, non-ageist, non discriminatory based on country of origin, diet, physical abilities or physical challenges.

Moose me if this is of interest! Let's talk about it.

Best,

Mike

I think they should change the spelling to Sandy Eggo. This tiny ad agrees with me.
