Today I reach for a bowl and the plastic piece that holds the shelf in the cabinet broke. Luckily the shelf is still there and the dishes did not fall.

I took everything off the shelf and found a new home for most everything.

Back when I got the shelves I looked for metal pieces but did not find any.

The cabinets have a hole that this piece goes into.

Shelf pegs, or shelf pins, depending on where you look.  There are a few kinds, the most common being the ones with the flat spot for the shelf.

What Trace said   :D    He beat me to it.
Take one if you go someplace to look, there are several sizes. or look closely at pictures and measurements online.

Thank you both!  I now see that they have several choices and sizes.

I really would like the metal ones to be the right size.
