I received an unclear pm from gir bot

A while ago I received a pm about an improperly formatted quotation in one of my posts. It asked me to review and "possibly edit" it. The quotation was as I wanted it, so I did not edit it. I just went back to that thread and saw that there was a note on the post saying it wasn't visible to anyone until I edited it.

Could the gir bot message be made more clear so that people understand they don't actually have an option to edit it or not?

I've submitted an edit. I wasn't opposed to editing it; I just didn't think it was necessary.

That's interesting.  I've got the same notes you do.  

I'm guessing whoever saw it was confused by the empty quote tag and was worried you forgot to put something there and was trying to help.

I've pressed some buttons and it should be visible now.  

Yeah, that's what I figured. Understandable. I just didn't realise from the pm that I needed to edit it or no one would see it.
