These guys really know how to do a kickstarter!  Viva La Dirt League: The Great Expansion

Not only do they have stretch goals, they also have Social Media Stretch Goals.

This gets people sharing and promoting their stuff outside kickstarter, which gets the word out faster.

Pretty darn cool.

What other social media might fit with this strategy?

So I'm thinking.
These numbers are easily viewable by the public - shares, subs, hash, whatever.

Is the new hashtag thing on youtube easy to count publically?  Looks like

What I like about the VLDL (guys I linked to at the top) is that the first few rewards are for everyone who pledges.  Everyone can participate, everyone gets a reward.

Pledge stretch goals - the early ones are for all, but the later ones are for backers over a certain amount.  This makes sense as they put the most effort/money into it, so they deserve more reward.

But what I love about the social stretch goals is that you don't have to have lots of money to get more rewards, you can donate time by getting the word out.

Being a smart ass beats the alternative. This tiny ad knows what I'm talking about:
montana community seeking 20 people who are gardeners or want to be gardeners
