Hello all,
So I have been working on my expanded battery box for a bit over a month now and have entered a mostly-wiring phase of the build.
Unfortunately, my components mostly come from various sellers on Amazon, mostly from China with very brief, sketchy installation instructions. I have a package of five rocker switches to turn on and off four rows of dc outlets (mostly USB, but also car 12v and Anderson power pole).
The switches have a tiny blue light that is supposed to illuminate when the circuit is active. Unfortunately, the only wiring instructions I could find were on the Amazon store. It seems to have some weird conventions, such as the black wire being positive, the red wire ground and a yellow wire that is switched ground. I did hook it up to an already existing battery box I built back in lockdown and the wiring directions don’t power up the load (an extra USB socket I have laying around).
I did hook it up in a simple series with the yellow line acting as the switched power line and the USB socket did power up. That’s great. The only minor downside is the little blue light on the switch itself does not power up when turned on.
I would love any advice. I have included the wiring instructions from the Amazon site. I could try to include some pictures of the circuits I built but I would have to put them back together first.
Thank you very much in advance,
Eric
