The Heirloom Winter Market will begin on Saturday, November 3, 2012 and will have a new home - the Missoula County Fairgrounds!

In order to make this a broad community-based marketplace, we would love to have your help.

In the next few weeks we will be securing vendors, musicians and organization to lead demonstrations.

Just wanted to say thanks to the vendors who are selling at the heirloom market this year ... have enjoyed beautiful squash, brussel sprouts, beets. We are lucky that access to fresh and local produce does not end when the downtown farmers markets close for the season.

is this the heirloom winter market;s first year? I am so glad that there is a market in my neighboorhood. I believe there is a second winter market in Missoula, off Mullen Rd. Does anyone have any info on, or been to that market?

This the Heirloom Winter Market's first year as a certified and sanctioned farmers' market. We did operate last year as well. We were invited to host the market at the Missoula County Fairgrounds this year, which is a perfect use of the facility whose history is steeped in agriculture. Hope you will check it out!

The heirloom market is having a grand opening tomorrow. I'm going. I know the chef from riverside is going. I know that Paula from my podcast about do-what-you-love is going. I know Kristen Lee-Charlson is going. Jocelyn will be there with me.

What time is the market, and how do those of us who are new to the area find the Missoula County Fairgrounds? (I've been past some fairgrounds in Missoula, but that's not what they were called?) Thanks!

The Market's address is: 1101 South Ave. West (Missoula County Fairgrounds).
The facebook site says 11am-2pm on saturdays...
If coming from out of town, one could probably google the address and find a swell map.
