Can you grow einkorn or other wheat from the kind you buy to mill?

I have a bunch of einkorn and khorasan/ kamut, whole, where you have to mill it.

Can those kernels be planted and grow wheat?  If so will it be the same wheat (not like a hybrid seed which will be different from the parent.)?

Try to sprout it. If it sprouts, you can grow it. Both einkorn and kamut are old strains and not hybrids so you should get back what you plant.

I've grown oats, wheat, rye and barley very small scale. If conditions are right they can grow really well. You might want to do some research on growing conditions and best time of year to plant. Or do what I did and toss some grain out, cover it a little, and water.
