Help! What is this? Bright Orange fungus in small lines on my blackberry stems. What do you suggest I do about this? Can it spread to my raspberries & blueberries? Help! I’ve had these plants for years, transplanted them from NJ garden to NC garden
Possibly orange rust. Like stated above, pictures could help with verification.
If is is rust, probably have to remove blackberry plant for a few years.... I think red raspberries and blueberries are not very susceptible. Better research that to make sure though. Spreads easily.

Orange rust only affects blackberries and black raspberries and is limited to the genus Rubus. It will not spread to your blueberries. Red raspberries are immune(1). It appears little can be done to treat infected canes. There are orange rust resistant varieties of blackberries on the market.
If it is orange rust it will stop setting fruit then kill the plants.
You should pull them out and burn them or otherwise remove from your property.
If there are varieties that are immune you could plant them, the spores can last on your property for several years.
Or you could just replace them with more red raspberries.
