Rocket heater

I have an old box wood stove, with the removable plates. Could this not be a burn chamber for a rocket heater? Fire brick core inside the cast iron , fire brick riser coming from the second plate?  Both openings are about 6 inches.  Just curious if anyone has tried, or thought about it.

Its been tried.
It even sort of works for a while.
You still need a mass .
The box stove metal will ultimately warp and crack even with firebrick inside.
It will not be burning clean like a rocket.

Better  to build a proper rocket,
J tubes are quick simple and easy to build.
In your backyard or in your living room.
