Hey all. I’ve an interesting opportunity for a couple families (preferably families with young children, but anyone really).
I live on an 80 acre plot of
land with my partner and our two young children. Just south of Kansas
City missouri. We rent, and the land owner allows us mostly free reign to plant gardens, hike, forage, hunt. My partner is building a homeschool cooperative/forest school that will operate on the land and as a mobile homeschool option for families in the area and we’re working on building gardens and
permaculture plots on the land. We have hopes of building community and someday working together to purchase land and exit. Until then we’re using the
freedom we have here to it’s max.
There are four houses on the land, remnants of a hundred year old
greenhouse business. The greenhouses are all torn down but the houses and buildings remain. Two of the houses will be up for rent soon. They’re old houses, one small two, maybe three bedroom and one large several bedroom main house. The small house will rent for $900 and the large for $1250.
We’re hoping some like minded families will come and occupy these houses and want to build community and homeschool, garden with us.
I’d like to see if this of interest to anyone here, anyone who isn’t yet able to buy land and wants to get out of the city or any ideas you fellow permies might have to share..
