Skiddable Structures for a Solar array?

Just wondering if the idea of skiddable structures would work to hold a diy solar array.

Something like:

only on skids.
Or maybe more of a tracker idea like:


I see some major benefits to this, because:
a) I'm fickle/undecided on what I want and how I want my property arranged.
b) Seems easier to experiment with and maintain
c) Since I plan on wiring this up myself, could help prevent damage to the house if I do something wrong.
d) Less chance of falling off the roof and/or plummeting to my death. ;)

My main concern is what wind would do to a structure like this.  Last thing I want is to see my expensive gear sailing away like a clipper ship.

I'm also thinking of stuffing a battery box underneath for more weight on the skids as well as reducing transmission power loss.  - But I guess that's a separate good idea/bad idea for another day.

You may have answered your own question.
You concerns about the system are valid.

- Wind can play havoc.
- if you have a safety rope you should not fall off the roof
- solar panels will cool your roof in summer
- twisting the panels is a danger to the panels and a skidable structure may be very flexible.
- be smart and do it properly, the house will not blow up.
I would spend a bit more time on the planning first.

Wind can be a major problem.  Consider some way to secure the system in a major storm.
