the best mileage I have gotten on a tank of gas on my 1985 Mitsubishi Jeep made in Japan is 37 mpg!
This is a diesel 4 cylinder engine with a manual transmission and four wheel drive, I average about 30 to 35 miles per hour and on occasion hit 45 to 50 but not very often.
I am the one who is never in a hurry and I drive like it! but it does get me decent fuel economy. I did take a road trip that was about 75 miles round trip and I drove 55 to 60 miles per hour, then filled up again and the mileage was 34 mpg.
this is indirect injection diesel so it can be converted to waste oil if I ever get smart enough to do that.

I believe that we need to realize that we can not have everything at the same time, economy is gained with the loss of quick and speedy driving if we want MPG!

anyway I wanted something for around town that got me good mileage and I did find it!
