We bought this:
https://smile.amazon.de/-/en/gp/product/B07PXQ2MNG/ a few years ago which might give you some ideas. IIRC it was about 30 euros and has lasted 3 years with only a few annoyances.
Annoyances:
--It's attached to the door frame via adhesive on the back of a plastic clip, which clips the fabric into place. When you go through too quickly or with something too large, it can pull out from the clip.
--The material is cheap plastic fabric and long cobwebby threads fray off the edges (without affecting the closure, just annoying)
--The magnets want to stick to anything metal near the frame: shelving, fire extinguisher...
Your version would use different mounting and different fabric as your needs are different, I expect. I actually don't think you want to use much stronger magnets - the design "wants" to fall into a closed position, and if your magnets are too strong it will risk tearing the fabric and add some real effort to going in and out.
Good luck! It sounds like a fun project!
