The things that your egg customers tell you about. Today is World Egg Day and I encourage all you wonderful, homegrown egg eaters to choose a delicious way to eat eggs today... hmmm... my pumpkin pie recipe calls for eggs. Would that count?
Blame Congratulate these guys: https://www.internationalegg.com/our-work/world-egg-day/ Apparently it's based on the weeks in October, not a specific Calendar Day, so clearly these guys think Fridays are good egg days - who says you can't eat eggs for Friday evening dinner after a long week? Omelet with fresh walking onion and parsley, served with Plum Sauce and hash browns works for me!
Apparently this year, Oct 10th - today - is world egg day.
My gov't shamelessly produced this rather tacky video promoting today. I didn't know whether to laugh or cringe.
To make up for that, I will give you a picture of Mrs Coop with her day old future egg layers, followed by the same babies at 4 weeks of age. Chicks grow fast!
I love eating eggs! The most unconventional type of egg I've ever eaten (by western hemosphere standards) is an emu egg, we all shared it and my family members hated it, but I thought it was okay, scrambled.
