To a peacock/peahen, 'home' is UP. Up in a tree, up on your roof, but not on the ground.
They make lousy neighbors. They are very loud - people a block away will complain.
They shit more than they screech - your roof will become a manure pile, your driveway too slick to walk on.
They do become very faithful to those who
feed them, and do brighten up a landscape.
I see them more as 'eye candy' than for any
permaculture function.
Don't expect a decent meal out of them.
If somebody offered me a free pair, I would politely say "No."
