Parsley is one of the most popular herbs used in cooking . It's an impressive herb that may benefit your health. Parsley is a plant with bright green, during the first year, it forms a rosette of tri-pinnate leaves 10-25 cm long with numerous 1-3 cm leaflets, and a taproot used as a food store over the winter.

In the second year it grows a flowering stem to 75 cm tall with sparser leaves and flat-topped 3-10 cm diameter umbels with numerous 2 mm diameter yellow to yellowish-green flowers.

The first year parsley plant should be harvested for it's leaves, while the second year the plant is generally harvested for it's seeds.

Parsley seeds are so healthy and plays an important role in correcting many health problems, especially as they don't cause any side damage to health, but rather provides the body with important elements for its health.

Parsley seeds contain calcium, iron, potassium, vitamin C, vitamins B, A, and D, in addition to a high percentage of antioxidants that have an important role in increasing the body's immunity.

Oh excellent!   My parsley did so well long into the cold fall here but I've never harvested parsley seed.   It's one of the last green things in my garden after several frosts.  I did have some back from last year, but it got pulled to plant something else.   Now I'll be waiting for spring to see if my parsley row comes back to give me seeds next year!  Thank you for sharing this.
