(If there is "book" in the post title I will immediately rise to the bait--snip snap!)
If I ever have a bunch of fruit trees, I am getting this legendary book:
The Holistic Orchard: Growing Tree Fruits and Berries the Biological Way by Michael Phillips. (I have the late author's book on Mycorrhizae and it is breathtaking.)
If you're interested in whole-systems gardening and forest gardens, take a look at Dani Baker's new
The Home-Scale Forest Garden.
I really like it, and I think she's writing and gardening up in your area...-ish. The book is so complete, from soil health to pruning and everything in between.
“If we are honest, we can still love what we are, we can find all the good there is to find, and we may find ways to enhance that good, and to find a new kind of living world which is appropriate for our time.” ― Christopher Alexander
