Have you met up with other Permies.com members intentionally or by accident while out and about?
Where, when, and how was it?
If money and time were no object, I would want to buy some time with Nancy on the Isle of Sky and R. up in Canada to start with.
Seeing what they do is my "yep, I can do this stuff" or "I need to just do it"...........

My wife and I were down in Tasmania (Australia) in January.  We had the opportunity to meet up with Kate Downham.
Because she lives out in the wilds where phones are not that reliable, we used PMs through Permies to hook up.
She and the family were at a farmer's markets outside Launceston.  We were able to buy a loaf of her home made stone ground sour dough bread.
What an experience.  Nothing like the shop bought stuff.  I would have to say 10 out of 10.  crispy crust and big on flavour.  If you do not have a copy of one of her cook books. IMHO your library is not complete.
Link here: https://permies.com/wiki/157756/Year-Grid-Kitchen-eBook#1236343  We now know how the food from your book should taste.
The photo below is Kate's setup on market day. Thanks Kate.  It was a pleasure to meet you.

Lovely to meet you Paul! Glad you liked the bread, and I hope you had a great holiday on our island.

Paul was the first person from Permies I have met in real life and it was great to discuss Permies stuff without feeling like a crazy person!

There are so many Permies it would be lovely to meet up with. Not sure if I'll ever leave this island again, so if you want to meet me, please come to Tasmania and I will bake you bread!

My previous laptop never exploded like that. Read this tiny ad while I sweep up the shards.
