Hello there!
Children are not meant to be raised alone, and parents need support. So I’m looking for another mother to join me in my charming home in Kalamazoo!
I homeschool, keep a front yard, garden, a few chickens, and aim to practice minimalist living. We are very active, extroverted, and enthusiastic about nature and play. I would consider myself semi crunchy, always striving for local, whole foods meals but also shopping at Aldi for the essentials once a week. We are omnivores and dairy free.
I live in a tutor style, three-bedroom house in a neighborhood just north of Kalamazoo, within walking distance to a big park, the library, grocery store, coffee, shop, churches, a few restaurants and a bank. One bedroom is completely empty, and pretty spacious, big enough for you and your littles or all the children could sleep together in one bedroom. The rest of the house would be community living space, and I believe there’s plenty of it! I also have a backyard guest house, not weatherized for winter, but we use it for sleeping and art projects during the spring, summer and fall.
As far as the atmosphere of the home, I am learning to be a peaceful parent, and hope to treat my children with respect and give them lots of autonomy. That sometimes looks messy to an untrained eye, but I am raising strong, independent thinkers who know how to navigate the world. My children are a 10-year-old girl, and twin 5-year-old boys. They spend Wednesdays with their father and every other weekend.
For work, I run a photography business that focuses on documentary style photos for families, pregnant women, and babies, and I am trying to get back into birth photography.
The woman I am looking for is strong, flexible, interested in growing, has a lot of love to share, and wants to join forces to give her kids a really great life.
Is this you? I hope so!
Many thanks ❤️
Emily
