I have many fond memories of my grandmother pulling the car over and handing us a grocery bag to go collect poke salat around the Nantahala River along the side of the road. Looking forward to trying this!

Very cool!  And, thanks for letting me know.  The Natahala region is pretty country.  Remember, just because I eat poke raw doesn't mean anyone else should!

I've not tried it raw but I've heard harvested at the right time it's fine. If I ever do I will try it slowly and pay attention to the affects before I dive in and I will not do so believing you suggested it hah
