I planted a young Fuyu persimmon tree last winter. It has grown many leaves this spring. But the tender leaves all curled up like a spoon. It is very hot for some days, and I have been watering the tree regularly. But I have not fertilized it. Do you have any advice what may be the problem? Thanks.

Sometimes if you get a cold snap in the spring and some young leaves/leaf buds will be partially damaged. When they grow out the damaged edge will give the cupped appearance. How about newest leaves that emerge after frost? If it's not disease related, the new leaves should look normal, as I saw in the upper left of the picture and you don't have to worry about it.
