The horn fly population is exploding now in my pasture.

I have spotted at least three types of dung beetles out there. Even a lot of “Rainbow Scarab” dung beetles!

Is it safe to use the mineral supplement with “altosid igr“ in it???

I believe it is a type of pesticide that causes the horn fly larvae to never hatch out/stay pupae until they perish.

Pic of a Rainbow Scarab I grabbed a few weeks ago.

Look into placing large sticky traps near water sources.

I do have fly bags/traps around the perimeter fence line that keep filling up with flies.

There are a lot this year.

I will look into them. Sounds like the same traps I use for fungus gnats in the house.
