Hi to all,
Mike here, age 64, in Mason County WV (on the Ohio/WV border) and while I've attempted several times in my lifetime to build a Permie-oriented farmstead , those were mostly crash and burn attempts. But not deterred, I'm sure I'm a little wiser for the experience and in the words of T.A. Edison I now know multiple ways not to invent a light bulb.

I am retired now and saving toward a purchase of land, somewhere in WV which I like immensely. My launch date is approximately 24 months from now , which feels simultaneously close yet far.

Yet Time has taken its toll on my body and Im not what I once was. I'm not totally wrecked. I can still swing a shovel and a pick axe but it's getting harder. As such I am interested in corresponding with potential allies and given my age and health issues, I am beginning to consider various creative scenarios. Certainly in the early stages I would be willing to host visitors w no obligation. Perhaps from among those persons there may be a few who could suggest projects that could test our ability to work harmoniously in the same space. Long term? I am aware that I will not live forever. There may be an opportunity there for both of us.
