Read. There is enough content here to last you a long while. Do searches for specific questions you have, browse the sub-forums that interest you. If you can't find an answer, make a post with a detailed question - if no one can give you a satisfactory answer from experience or data, perform the testing yourself and post about the results!

Hi Eric,

Welcome to Permies.  Judging from where you have posted, I assume you are interested in Skip. Skip is a process through which you can pick up needed skills for homesteading and make yourself a more viable candidate to inherit property. While people with property may be interested in giving it away, they are not interested in giving it to just anyone.

Begin by reading the various posts under in the Skip forum.  Pay close attention to those posts made to earn badges,   Then try one yourself.  Also in the upper right hand side of your screen is your name.  Click on to that. Then click edit profile.  Take the time to provide some information on yourself such as where you live, your experiences in permaculture and homesteading, and your general location.  This information can be valuable as members try to address questions you may have.
