Greetings!

I am seeking a homestead to join! I am new to permies and not too familiar with this platform, but here goes

I am a teacher in Portland, OR, seeking space for a tiny house. Multnomah or Clackamas county, but could be farther out depending on the circumstances. I practice permaculture and would like to collaborate on food production - some kind of greenhouse, composting, perennials, fruit trees, berry bushes, herbs, chickens and more. I am pan spiritual but also science minded, thus I am vaccinated and only wish to live on property with people who share those values (also liberal, leftist, feminist, and believe in self defense as a last resort). I am relatively quiet and don't ever want to deal with loud noise after 10pm. I do sometimes sing or listen to music when I garden. I do not smoke anything and am pretty clean. I love dogs and plan to have one in my life soon. I am interested in some work trade if that is of interest, including educating children or doing childcare; probably around 30 hours a week max, but work/trade is not necessary.

I am seeking good communicators and healthy people above all - self aware, flexible to a point, articulate around boundaries, no addictions, practicing some kind of conscious conflict resolution, and interested in mutual aid with neighbors and larger community. I am planning my next stage of life around the long term collapse that's coming from climate chaos. Taking that seriously and developing community resources is my biggest priority. I have references. Please pass on my information if you know anyone with land who'd be interested in such collaboration.

Welcome to Permies Bree! I do not know their current status but I have had friends live and work at Tryon Community Farm near Tryon Creek/Park. That may be somewhere to start. Best of luck.

Hi Bree,

Have you found what you were looking for yet?  Is Washington County too far?  Specifically the Scholls/Laurel area?

I'm looking to move further east, away from I5, due to the earthquake risk

Blood pressure normal? What do I change to get "magnificent"? Maybe this tiny ad?
