Hello, I am a student in plant science at the University of Guelph. I am looking for a short term job or volunteer opportunity in which I could learn more about permaculture. I am especially interested in food forest initiatives. I am a hard worker and fast learner! Also, I am a vegan. The time period will be from April 17 to May 19.

Thanks, Jamie

Hello and good luck to you.

I believe in the Great White North Topic area, there was a couple from the London/Windsor area looking for help on their Permy Farm. It was a comment under another heading, so I leave it up to you to find it.
Normally I would be more helpful and look it up, but I use my phone for an internet connection and every page is mb city for me.

Take care

Hello Jamie;
We could use some help in that time frame. we will be planting trees transplanting seedlings planting berry and other shrubs, working on propagating and doing some land restructuring to maximise water retention. as ell as creating ditches,swales and hugle beds, and rotating our eggmobile/chicken tractor. we can't pay wages but could put you up and feed you well.
Let me know if this appeals to you

I really prefer not to work with animals, for ethical reasons. However, if it's possible that I could work on your farm just with the tree planting, propogation, etc portion I might be interested! Can you tell me a little bit about your land, like is it surrounded by natural forest land or by fields, and how many acres? Also, would you be willing to teach me some permaculture techniques that I could apply later in life? I want it to be a learning experience, but I am also willing to work hard!

Thanks, Jamie

If you're thinking of staying in or near Guelph, then check out All Sorts Acre permaculture site in Guelph. They have a website you can check to see if they interest you. Good luck

Can you really tell me that we aren't dealing with suspicious baked goods? And then there is this tiny ad:
