Hi Paul, or whoever adds forum categories.
I recently concocted a new dessert, and being the generous guy I am, I wanted to share it with the world. Or at least all you permies...
Anyway I was kinda surprised that there was so few categories in the "Kitchen Forum."
.
Here's the dessert, in case you need it. As a kid my dad occasionally asked if I wanted some ice milk. But I never took him up on it. I wonder if his was the commercially available version, or similar to mine?
.
Chocolate Ice Milk
(This isn't true ice milk, but it is pretty good.)
.
I had brought home a new gallon jug of chocolate milk, and before I dumped the half gallon of expired chocolate milk out, I tasted it. It was fine. Running out of fridge space I threw it in the chest freezer.
.
The first evening I pulled it out before it had completely hardened up. The wife ate it as is.
But I wanted it just a bit chocolatier, so I sprinkled some powdered unsweetened baking chocolate on top. Then I thought it needs a little liquid.
I didn't want it less sweet, so I grabbed some Vanilla Carmel coffee creamer (Walmart Great Value).
.
I think I invented something truly unique and awesome!
.
Directions/Recipe
Mock Chocolate Ice Milk

Freeze about 4 cups of chocolate milk.
When the frozen chocolate milk comes out of the freezer, you will need to soften it up a little. We nuke it for a minute to a minute and a half in the microwave.
Then you take a big serving spoon and break it up, kind of scraping it out.
When you have a desired amount in your bowl, sprinkle a little bit of unsweetened chocolate baking powder on top. Then add just a little of the Vanilla Carmel coffee creamer to the bottom of the bowl.
Enjoy!
Top off your bowl of frozen chocolate milk with a bit of fresh for next time, tomorrow perhaps... Put it back in the freezer.

Hi Mike,
The forums sort of evolve as we see a need - there is quite a bit of work setting up a new forum: see this thread for how we go about it, Some of it has to do with site navigation and some to do with "google love". If you think there are enough threads to make a new forum, have a go at collecting the links here and maybe a staff person will be inspired to perform the magic.
