Just in time for Halloween, It is National Frankenstein Day!

The 1931 movie Frankenstein was adapted from the 1927 play by Peggy Webling. The play had been based on Mary Shelley's 1818 book "Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus".

The Bride of Frankenstein

Frankenstein was followed by a string of sequels, beginning with Bride of Frankenstein (1935), in which Elsa Lanchester plays the Monster's bride.
