Greetings All!
I'm so far behind on the farm that I've almost caught up with myself, which includes this winter's firewood. This was the year I was supposed to finally have two years in the wood bank, but life had other plans. My body just isn't up to any more axe-swinging for the foreseeable.
So. I have two electric splitters in mind from Crappy Tire and would like some input from those with experience using them or similar. I've used gas-powered machines that I've borrowed in the past, but am hoping to avoid the noise/stink/footprint if I can get sufficient power from an electric number.
I first looked at
this, which has some features I like, but doesn't handle more than a 10" diameter log.
Then I noticed
this one, which has 3 tonnes more oomph and can handle slightly larger logs.
What do
you think?
