Hello, My name is Donnie and I am looking for homestead living for about six months. I am looking for a place that is no more than 25 miles from a pretty decent city or town. I am looking for a place that will allow me to remodel a 1973 Prowler, 20foot pull trailer. After Covid I found myself homeless and have been moving from pillar to post since than. about three months ago I decided to trade a LG washer and dryer/refrigerator combo for the Prowler. RV parks don't rent to older trailers. This leaves me with having to find privately owned parks, farms, and the likes....to find a place to live and work as well. Maybe there is someone here that would be willing to rent me a space to make my mission become reality. I can afford about $200 a month but would be willing to help out around your space. I hope to hear from some one soon.

Welcome to the forum!

I hope you find the homestead that you are looking for.

I have worked in many RV Parks that would take older RVs.

Another solution I have found is that mobile home parks often take older RVs.

My suggestion would be to not look at the fancy RV Parks that cater to tourists with motorhomes.  Look for ones in the older part of town and that offer a monthly rate.

Can the caravan as we call them in Australia be cleaned up to look good and would it be allowed into a camp site/
I notice many people do not try and keep them clean and tidy and they look trashy.
I have seen spaced covers siting about 1 ft above them to help with shade and keeping dirt off them.

Are you willing to help out at the RV Park to get reduced rent?

Cleaning bathrooms, picking up trash and other campground duties?

It has been a long time since I paid rent though it seems I paid something like $400 over 15 years ago.

If you are willing to help have you checked out our Experiences forums?

For my next feat, I will require a volunteer from the audience! Perhaps this tiny ad?
