Advice on where to stay 19th-20th in Carnation, Washington while at pig buchery workshop?

Hi Permies. Can anyone give me advice on where to either find a motel, camp out, or park my car and sleep in it? I'm driving up from Portland this weekend to do the butchery workshop by Farmstead Meatsmith at a dairy farm in Carnation and can't seem to find any lodging that isn't an expensive B&B type situation. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hey Kevin, if you're camping, you might try http://www.kingcounty.gov/recreation/parks/inventory/toltmacdonald.aspx, which is right in Carnation. In fact, some of the footage of Samantha talking about dandelions in Paul's latest video happened at this park.

I'll see if I can drum up additional ideas for you.

I wound up staying at a hotel close to the class, it worked out fine. Thanks for your help though.

Which one was your son? Was he really tall? I didn't get to talk to too many people the first day.

The first day was more interesting simply because I thought the way we slaughtered the pig was unique, especially the way the head just popped off!
