This 19 acres of prime regenerating forest has everything; In addition to being lovely, it’s located on the gentle south facing slope of the Olympic Peninsula about 400 ft. elevation. It has a pristine clear year-round “creek” (would be called a river in some places) with water rights; fertile, rich, black, forest loam soil; privacy…as a forest inholding (very low taxes) with access across a private bridge. It’s a gateway that connects to hundreds of miles of GDRC timber roads that go up to the Olympic National Forest. These roads are only for horse, bike, and walking, no motorized traffic allowed. We rarely see anyone on these trails.

Imagine that’s your backyard

Imagine your front yard has the vibrant pristine creek (beaver dams, recovering salmon), a new, steel, private bridge, a developed campground with ten spaces, producing fruit trees, and a meadow. This is an ideal glamping site for hiking and trail biking, and a high income producing basecamp for equestrian adventurers. This is indeed a rare opportunity for equestrian travels, with a stream right at the base camp. There is plenty of water on trails for days of exploring.

There is an ongoing grant that is for maintaining it as a forest, and developing it with native trees, and sustainable systems. We are on the back 4 acres of the land, and will discuss more about options of us leasing our spot, which will continue the grant for all the property. Subdividing is also an option, and it can have 3 living structures, besides outbuildings. Electricity is on the edge of property. Reach out to us, and we can give you greater details on this.

It has been our mission to bring the trees to their maturity here, and we are looking for folks that desire this for this land. There are several large, mature trees on this property. We see a collaboration of making this forest more pristine and sustainable for future generations.

Ideally, This land would be owned by the established non profit to maintain the grants and forest development.  There can be 3 houses on the land, and these could be built on 1 to 2 acre lots that would be leased for 50 years for $40,000. There can be tiny houses and outbuildings  under 200 square feet that do not need to be approved. For folks interested in this leasing for simple living or summer camping, it is $20,000 for a long term lease. One could sell their home or structure as they own this on leased land, and the lease can also be sold.  We are exploring the logistics of this now. Then there would be a community kitchen and structure for gatherings and folks to gather. The land is used collectively for gardens and approved projects of sustainability. Then summer camps that are rented out bring resources to further develop the property, raising the value of everyone's home. We are open to the option below if it is a good fit for us , also.

We have developed this land for 12 years now, with many challenges to get it where it is now. The value of this land is increasing rapidly as people are searching for a moderate climate, remote, yet close to amenities. We are in our sixties, and there have been health challenges for my Partner, and this has brought the land to a foreclosure in 2 months. So we are open to selling this for the $85,000 cash to stop the legal proceedings, plus a cash out or owner financing for an agreed upon amount. We are flexible on this for the right person or group. The 4 acre lots are selling for $140,000 near us.

This land is for people that want a sustainable home, or retreat, are lovers of trees and nature, and want to continue to own it for a long time.

We are here to answer questions, and look forward to sharing information.

Hi Trudy.

I am sad to hear about your partner's health issues and I will keep you both in my prayers. I am interested in talking to you about a possible partnership. I hope you've found some relief in your situation but If your offer still stands, I would love to tell you more about my 501(c)3 nonprofit, C.A.R.E. Wellness Center, which was founded in Thurston County 2020. Our mission is to cultivate safe farm retreats and wellness programs for BIPOC sufferers of Post-Traumatic Slave Syndrome. I am looking for opportunities to steward land, rent-to-own land, or find a feasible co-op where myself and my community would feel safe to operate our healing retreats, as we continue applying for grants to launch. Nature helped save my life, and I want to reconnect others to it also. C.A.R.E. integrates spirituality, Agrotourism, and racial justice as we're addressing trauma with nature therapy and holistic techniques. I partner with other organic farms in Washington state, like GRuB, and Dancing Goats and Singing Chickens, and many volunteers working hard to launch our Summer Re-Entry Program. I have some experience in permaculture myself, but a team of leaders and gardeners enthusiastic about tiny houses, minimalism, food forests, bees, wellness and community-building. More info at 3ws carewellnesscenter. org. Please connect with me at service@carewellnesscenter.org to discuss ways we can support each other. Thank you and I look forward to working with you.
