I just started watching this and thought it might interest other Permies. It feels, after the first of four episodes, like the show is going to have a pretty pro-plant-based outcome. And a little reading about the science around the study makes that seem likely.

And interveiw of the researcher, Christopher Gardner.

But there's also already reason to be skeptical:

Anyway, I'm going to keep watching it -- I'm interested in the subject, I like that it's scientific even if it's not perfect, and the show seems to do a good job of mixing the findings of the science with interesting story-telling.

When I watched it I learned about telomeres for the first time. Eye opener. Made me think more cautiously about what I put in my mouth.

I'm 3/4 through the series now. I'll finish it, but I'm increasingly uncomfortable with the feeling that it's vegan propaganda rather than just presenting the science. (I say this as someone who's been a vegan-friendly vegetarian for more than 30 years, so I ought to be on their side...) I'll check back in when I'm done.
