da vinci resolve video editor (cut screen problem)

I updated Davinci and it gave me this big blank space on the cut screen.  (see attached)

Anyone know what it's called so I can make it go away?

ah ha!

I was viewing an older file started before the update.

Solution: start a new project.  adjust the screen, then go back and open the old projects and it's back to normal.
