Hi All! Longtime lurker, new poster here.
My question: how to attach a garden hose to 4"pvc sewer pipe.

We have some land with a dug pond and recently put up a camp that's off grid and w/o well or wastewater. There's a hillside seep and underground springs that feed pond. Guy who built the pond also ran some 4" green pvc sewer pipe from a spring up in the seep downinto the embankment of pond; it empties out about 6" above water level.
I want to capture that water and use it for camp and irrigation. I figured a good starting point would be to cap it and run some garden hose from it. Not a long-term solution, but a possible temporary/test run.
Any tips on how to do an attachment like that? It's the bell-end that sticks out, but I need to cut it off because of some UV and freezing/thawing decay. I know it isn't designed for pressure, so I need to be careful there; we're in Vermont so I also need to watch out for freezing.

Thanks for your help!

If you can't drill and tap an end cap for a hose bib they make a fernco or no-hub style connector for a quick fix.

thank you!
This may be the best solution, as I've never been able to successfully cement pvc with water running through it...
