Gonna go outside the (permaculture) box on this one and reccomend a really old book that is excellent-
Ten Acres Enough by Edmund Morris. 1864. no typo, 1864 publication.
In the era when all farming was organic, tractors didnt exist, and horses hauled the inputs, Edmund Morris was an agricultural genius. His fertility regeneration, his produce quality and yields, and his focus on labor efficiency, are all models for anybody growing food seriously today.
