Since Stinging Nettle (urtica dioica) has long been a plant used for fibre/rope production, and has a lot longer stalks than straw, i wondered if it might be a great alternative.
Nettles are native to many parts of earth, and also very easy to grow in large quantities, while also getting food (leaves, seeds) out of it.
Have any of you ever tried this, or do you know of somebody who has?
