Anne, thank you for a great article.  I’m 60 and have RA so staying strong is a priority.  I walk and I am slowly getting back to running after almost 40 years.  I use my everyday chores as an opportunity to exercise, for example when I’m carrying an item that has any weight I’ll get in a few reps of a gym move while I’m doing it.  I think core strength and posture are very important.  Remember when we were kids and girls were told to stand up straight and keep the tummy tucked in?  It was great advice and is maybe even more important now that we’re older.  I wonder what other mature permies are doing to stay fit?
