This week Chris Stelzer will be joining us to answer our questions about grazing. Chris has been an intern at Greg Judy's ranch in Missouri and Ian Mitchell-Innes' ranch in South Africa. He has a blog and a podcast at Agricultural Insights.

You seem to have learnt a lot to be able to write all this after a short period in the cattle "field" and I guess it must come from previous experience at university and the want to do a personal job at recalling (and organizing) your new learnings. I have read about you on your site, and that is great to have done this brave dive into the "swimming pool"!

Its great to have you on the forum. I just recently found your podcast and I am enjoying it allot, and learning so much. Your podcast introduced me to the works of Greg Judy and Ian Mitchell-Innes, so thank you so much for that.

I am in a similar circumstance as you were, I don't have any farming or ranching background, but I am looking for opportunities to do internships, since listening to your podcast, that seems to be the best way to learn as well as actually do, some farming and ranching to build that experience level.

Thanks for the kind words. I would figure out what it is you want to do. Cattle, sheep, veggies, pigs or whatever, and work with the best person you can find that does that. Also, go visit as many potential farms for internships as you can. I visited 3-4 before I did mine, I'm glad I did. Good Luck!
