This has nothing to do with homesteading, but a great deal to do with the human animal, and particularly the male of the species.

It's a perfectly told story by Brian Shul, the pilot of an SR-71 Blackbird, one of the fastest aircraft ever built. I've watched it a hundred times and it makes me chuckle every time. Hope you enjoy it.

Could not find another one I like. Similar to the speed check except it was altitude. The conversation went like this ...

controller "Air Force 71 we are showing your altitude as 70,000 feet. Is that correct?"

pilot " I can not confirm or deny that?"

Haha, good one. There's another one, where they were supposed to buzz a boy scout convention or something, almost at stall speed trying to find them, and then they kicked it with full afterburners and the kiddos had the absolute experience of a lifetime.
