Hi, my name is Phil, age76 from Bilton just outside Hull UK. Lived in central Norfolk  from the age of two to ten which gave me a love of nature. Always looking for ways to get off the grid, did have a chance about six years ago for twelve acres but the person selling renaged on the deal at the last minute. The cost of land now looks like I’ve had it, in this life anyway. Just found permits by chance, it looks quite interesting so I’ll stay with it.  Love to all Merry Christmas, take care Phil.

Hi - welcome to permies!
I'm always happy to see another Brit on the forums. I like the Norfolk area, we had a holiday near Cromer one year - interesting windmills on the Broads as well. Are you still in that neck of the woods?

Doh! I see you say you are up near Hull now, so a bit further North! Sorry.
