Single Male 51 Looking for the right woman to enjoy this journey with

I am a retired software engineer and now a homesteader, I live on an 86-acre homestead in West Virgina. Mostly forest.  I am just getting started with work on the place. Hope to have a great start for next season.  We will see when my 3-year plan hits a snag .  I have two daughters 20 and 23 both in college. My plan is to build a regenerative, and as self-sufficient as possible place to spend time with someone special.

Serious question here, these posts really creep me out.  Why are they always made by people who only post one time and vanish, or otherwise don't stick around?  And then they are answered by other people who only post 1-2 times and they leave.  Am I in left field that this is really really strange?

I do agree, it would help to see people interact here. As for me, I was trying to help my friend, and again google search led me here. I was reading on permies on and off but this time I did create the profile. I don´t stick here because forum threads have sometimes a few years between responses.

Hi there! You might have found someone already, but I’m saying hello anyways. I live in coastal NC currently but seeking a place to move to eventually. Ideally to live with like minded partner. I’m originally from Japan and also 51 years old. My youngest is 15 years old son, also 26 and 21 year old daughters I have. I’ve been trying my best to live truly meaningful life. I think I am quite skillful and knowledgeable in sustainable living connected with nature.
Anyways, I just visited WV last summer. Beautiful place. Which part of WV are you located?
