I am or have been a somewhat sheltered individual who has not left the continantal United States ever. Not that I am opposed to it I suppose depending on what there is to offer. I have thought about places such as the Phillipines because cost of living but they require you to have income coming in and I do not. That is my major issue, I want to make it so I do not require much of the green stuff to live if any

well hello there you seem like we would mesh well together. I am 51 year old woman and raised with the old fashioned mentality when husband and wife took care of each other and it was good. I moved to California and its not like that here actually frowned upon, you can not get a man to open a door for yoyu at all they want you to open it. I could go on and on but wont. I am origonally from louisiana and would like to speak with you more let me know

Hi folks,

I’m stepping back in after a little time away—I had been caring for a dear friend who was ill, which landed me in San Francisco for a while (and let me just say… city life is not for me). That time reminded me just how much I crave soil under my nails, stars overhead, and the kind of quiet that only comes from living close to the land.

I’m 51, full of energy, and not the least bit afraid to get dirty. I believe in honest work, simple pleasures, and growing what you eat—then sitting down and really enjoying it. I’m all about building a life where expenses are low, needs are simple, and fulfillment comes from the work of your hands and the beauty of the natural world.

What I’m looking for is someone to do this with. Farmlife is what I want—not just as a lifestyle, but also as a livelihood. I’m not interested in chasing some fancy dream—I want real partnership, real connection, and a grounded, sustainable life.

If you’re someone who dreams of building a meaningful life off the land and doesn’t mind a little sweat and a lot of laughter along the way, I’d love to talk.

Here’s to dirt, joy, and not doing it all alone,
Heather

Hi there,

Your message felt like a breath of fresh mountain air—I could almost smell the earth and hear the animals just reading it. I’m a 51-year-old woman who’s been through a lot in life, but it’s only made me stronger, steadier, and more committed to living with purpose. I’m ready—truly ready—to dive headfirst into this kind of life. It’s not a phase or a dream; it’s a calling.

I may not come with all the typical trappings, but I come with heart, grit, and a deep respect for the land and those who work it. I’m not scared of hard labor, long days, or learning fast. In fact, I crave it. I want to contribute, to be part of something real, and to give back more than I take. I believe in showing up, pitching in, and doing whatever needs doing.

If you're looking for someone reliable, eager, and full of soul—I’d be honored to talk more. Thank you for sharing your world. I hope I get the chance to be part of it.

Warmly,
Heather

I will also add that I am not as rough and tough as others and I have tried this in the mountains of Arizona where the elevation was about 7000 feet above sea level and I could not handle that
i have a question, I purchased a soil tested thing from amazon and it is saying my ph level is low. I went to nursery and got some lime and added it and it is still saying that its drastically low. Now I am not sure if it is true or not and I dont want to just keep adding??? opinions??
