Hi folks,

I’m stepping back in after a little time away—I had been caring for a dear friend who was ill, which landed me in San Francisco for a while (and let me just say… city life is not for me). That time reminded me just how much I crave soil under my nails, stars overhead, and the kind of quiet that only comes from living close to the land.

I’m 51, full of energy, and not the least bit afraid to get dirty. I believe in honest work, simple pleasures, and growing what you eat—then sitting down and really enjoying it. I’m all about building a life where expenses are low, needs are simple, and fulfillment comes from the work of your hands and the beauty of the natural world.

What I’m looking for is someone to do this with. Farmlife is what I want—not just as a lifestyle, but also as a livelihood. I’m not interested in chasing some fancy dream—I want real partnership, real connection, and a grounded, sustainable life.

If you’re someone who dreams of building a meaningful life off the land and doesn’t mind a little sweat and a lot of laughter along the way, I’d love to talk.

Here’s to dirt, joy, and not doing it all alone,
Heather

I am or have been a somewhat sheltered individual who has not left the continantal United States ever. Not that I am opposed to it I suppose depending on what there is to offer. I have thought about places such as the Phillipines because cost of living but they require you to have income coming in and I do not. That is my major issue, I want to make it so I do not require much of the green stuff to live if any

Is there a particular climate/region you prefer? I'm currently in maryland but trying to head south, maybe Midwest? I'm not sure yet. Perhaps you could help me decide? 🤔

Hi.  Ever thought of living on top of a mountain in an Earthship farm/home? Only 20 miles south east of Buena Vista, Colorado, USA. It's a place to get your hands dirty. I tend to work from June 1st till December. Then I stop for winter and travel and start again in June.  Just Finishing the Earthship. Construction, carpentry, masonry, artistic Mosaic, cleaning, helping around the house, maintenance work, permaculture, welding, solar electricity, Aquaponics, gardening, animals, food forest. That is to name a few. Have two dogs. Let me know if this sounds interesting. Keith

Good morning Heather.
I have a small "homestead" in Deep East Texas. It is not yet a homestead, but an exercise in sustainablility. Reading you other posts and replies, I get a sense that we share many common goals.
Please send me a PM and we can begin to discover each other.
