Does anyone have a source for Phaseolus polystachios (thicket bean / wild kidney bean) that are not bitter?  2024 was my first year growing this plant, seeds from Prairie Moon, and they did really well.  Lots of flowers and lots of beans.  However, I cooked a few green pods and they were really bitter.  I may try cooking some of the dries beans I saved, changing water several times, and see if those are bitter as well.  Thanks.

I grow tepary beans, which have very bitter pods, but the bean seeds are not bitter.

What's up folks! How's everyone? Love to swap for some thicket beans and like to oblige my wild licorice and milkweeds for some if anybody's ok with that. Please see me at my Purple Mooseage to talk more. Peace!

I have some wild thicket bean seeds and am happy to send you some if you would send me a sturdy, padded, SASE.  Would about 15 beans be ok?
