I want to get my wild garlic seeds to germinate. I know they need cold stratification. Anyone know how many weeks?
I'm planting them in my 1 acre yard. Foraging has wiped out the local wild plants. I'm hoping to establish plants on my property and then plant out more plants into the more wild areas locally.

I would just plant them in a planter on the porch. They will get freeze thaw cycles of your weather and you can then trans plant the seedlings in april. Tom

Wild garlic, would that be Allium ursinum, or is it another species? I've heard (though no direct experience, sorry!) that A. ursinum seeds need to be very fresh to germinate. As for germination protocols, like Thomas said, if the species is native to your area, then your local winters are probably what the seeds need.
